I get this a lot. The honest answer is: every project requires an assessment of scope, timeline, and a myriad of other factors before a fee can be determined. Is your next question is, "well shouldn't the project fee be cheaper"?

Well, perhaps it could be, but odds are the idea that you have still needs some design exploration and perfecting, therefore multiple directions still should be explored.

Also, if your idea is doodled on the back of your napkin (which is absolutely fine by the way), I might need to do quite a bit of work to get it ready for the real world, therefore the minimum fee will probably still apply!

Some people choose to pay electronically via Paypal or Venmo, which is totally fine.

Some people still love to send a check, which is cool too.

Maybe pool your money? If it's a trip with 12 guys, then it might cost about the same amount as a polo from any major golf resort...just a thought.

Another question with an "it depends" answer. Most branding projects take a minimum of 30-45 days. Some go fast, some go slooooow.

Once you've paid the invoice and we've sent you the final files, then yes!, you own the work. If you need me to, I can even draw up a simple rights agreement that grants you exclusive rights to use the art for the rest of eternity.

99% of the time, I charge a flat fee. After initial discussions with the potential client, scope, timeline, and deliverables are established and a fee is agreed upon.

For projects with a fee under $1000, payment can be handled at project completion. Projects with higher fees might be subject to 50% of the fee due at project start and the remainder due at completion.

That's fine! Please mention it in the initial discussions. If it's an extremely tight deadline, then expect the fee proposal to reflect that. At this point I'm still a one man operation, so be nice! I do my best to take on a responsible workload, but life happens. I'll do my best to communicate delays and provide expectations for how quickly I can turn around the work.
